Navigating the Campus Bookstore
When walking into the main entrance of the Elliot University Center (EUC), the campus bookstore is through the first doors on your left. As you walk in, you are faced with a room filled with all things blue and gold. This is the place where you not only buy your textbooks, but you can also purchase anything from t-shirts, bumper stickers, blankets, magnets, umbrellas, etc. to support/represent UNCG.
On the first floor of the book store, you have one side filled with UNCG swag that you can buy, on the other side you have the shelves of best-selling books, as well as books that are popular across college campuses nationwide. They also have a section on the first floor of the bookstore that you can purchase snacks, drinks, etc.
On the second floor of the bookstore, you have a section of school supplies, such as calculators, flashdrives, index cards, binders, notebooks, bookbags, etc. The second floor also holds a section that is dedicated to "dorm essentials" where you can buy lamps, pillows, printers, etc. The second floor is also where you pick up red scantrons and blue books that you will need for exams in some of your classes. As I mentioned in a previous post, the second floor of the bookstore is the place where you can pick up the books you bought/rented online, and it is also the place to go to buy/rent your books in-store.
If you walk into the bookstore and you are overwhelmed, and you don't even know where to begin, revisit this blog post for assistance. If you are still in need of help, ask one of the lovely bookstore employees for assistance. Helping customers is part of their job description, and many are students themselves, and understand the struggle you may face in your first trip to the campus bookstore. I have only ever seen the bookstore employees be helpful and kind to customers, just know that you are in good hands.
